I'm using my datapad in order to keep track of my goal to lose weight. And also a way to guilt myself by posting publicly. Wink

I got a scare when my mother was diagnosed with diabetes and I ran across a man who was suffereing from a hypo-moment. The doctor I saw thought I was risky enough to have a blood test done. Thankfully, it came back as normal... but I am sure that I was close to being not normal...

So my goal is to lose 4 stone of weight.

I currently weight 17 stone, which is too much for my height of 5'1".

My first order of business is to give up soda. I used to have a can a day, at least, and some days two bottles, and don't even ask about the weekends!

So far I have done the following:

1 cup of sprite on Sat.
1 small cup of pepsi on Sun.
Mon-nothing
Tues-glass of pepsi (reward for the sweat and tears of moving around new television and furniture)
Thurs-Fri - nothing

Now, today, going to limit myself to one cup.

Eventually I think I can just completely give it up. Then I'll work on something else.

Wish me luck!

Giving up soda cold turkey is tough!!! You're doing great, gal! Very Happy (And just remember that diet soda has no calories if you get the caffeine-withdrawal headache and need a fix.)

You're my heroine! LOL All through the last time I did WW and now, I still have to have at least a little Coke-cola. I thrive on that stuff. It's in my blood. Laughing It sounds like you're doing great!

I don't know that I could give up soda. But I've actually grown to like most of the diet stuff, so it's no problem!

I don't know if I can either, but so far so good... has some Sprite on Thur, but only to settle my stomach... was being sick.

I got a new scale today, and it showed me at 16 and a half stone!

So I was thinking that the old one was broke, but hubby thinks it's from the lack of soda for the past two weeks.

Regardless, I should still be 12 stone! if not 10.

Here's hoping! Very Happy

Oh, lady! Hugs!

You should not be down! You're doing your best and trying hard--and giving up soda is no mean feat. You're taking control and doing a great job, imo. You should be proud!

But I know how it is to feel down, and I hope that you are back to feeling positive soon.

Giving up soda is something I could never do. I still drink the diet, caffeine free stuff just because I need the carbonation (or at least think I do). Good luck with the diet. Smile

I suppose...
I have been good this week. No soda during the week days except the Sprite to settle my ill stomach, and this weekend I had a another bottle of sprite and some diet lemonade...

This is much much less than my usual litre of soda at least I used to have...

thanks for the support girls! *hugs*

I've been engrossed in HALO3 for the past few days so excuse my absence!

Also, I am almost down to 16 stone already!! Yay! That makes me a happy bunny.

Hubby has friends over this weekend, must control my soda intake. Very Happy
