Like a lot of folks, I have Live Journal, but I feel like Iím spamming my f-list if I comment about little stuff, so I think this is where Iíll put my PNPs (Posts Not Posted.) PNPs = the times when something happens and you mentally compose a post in your head but then decide that it isnít really relevant to anything in particular when you sit down in front of the computer - but itís still stuff you wanna share with friends. Hug You!

So, here goes:

I bought some low-calorie wine. Didnít know they made such a thing, so Yay! Right?

Noooo.

It may be low-calorie, but it made me HUNGRY Ė which totally defeated the purpose. After one glass, I raided the pantry/fridge and ate low-fat cheese, fat-free crackers, 2 South Beach protein bars, a Little Debbie snack (oops!), and a bag of popcorn. (And this was after eating fried chicken for dinner. Embarassed )

Maybe I should just stick to regular wine. Doh!

so am I the only one here who subjects their friends lists to rants on commercials I hate and esoteric one-line jokes?

Oh, Trace. *hugs* LOL, I love you. I can just see you foraging for the food. It's so hard! You want one snack and it doesn't quite fill you up, so you have to go looking for more, and that's when you run into trouble! Did the low-calorie wine taste okay?

redtenko: I have a love/hate relationship with LJ. I can't navigate the site at ALL and I'm not HTML-savvy, so I think it hates me most days. Doh!

ginchy: LOL! *hugs back* I couldn't tell a difference in the taste of the wine...it just made me want to eat everything in sight. Popcorn

<May 2007>

Me: OMG! Tim (my husband) you gotta read this Legacy comic!!

Tim: UmÖokay. When I get a round tuit.

Me: DUDE! Iím not kidding!

<Four months later>

Tim: So, I read Broken.

Me: Oh really?

Tim: Yah. *shrugs noncommittally* I can see why you like it.

Me: You want the issue that picks up where that left off?

Tim: No, Iíll wait for the next trade paperback.

Me: Um-hm. 'kay.

Low calorie wine? I say, what's the point? If I can't enjoy it, I don't want the fake stuff. To quote a famous philosopher, do or do not, there is no... imitation. Razz

And especially if it's making you hungry. That really defeats the purpose.

I have never been able to get in to Narnia. Which is odd, as I've read other books by CS Lewis (namely 'Till We have Faces', which I loved).

That move poster makes me want to go out and read the books now, though. LOL

If you like Narnia, you're gonna love Lazy Sunday: http://youtube.com/watch?v=IwK6ugW62is

ginchy: I'm an old school Narnia fan and, while all my 30-something yr-old friend-girls were saying they're going to hell for lusting after Harry Potter, I told them that I'll get there first for blinking more than once at Peter Pevensie in the new movie version of Lion, Witch. Embarassed

redtenko: That was hilarious!!!! Laughing

My youngest daughter, Rachel, drew a bunch of pictures the other night of her and Anakin Skywalker. (She has a wee bit of a crush. Wink) Here's one of them:

Don't you love his little scar?

Laughing Laughing Laughing

And he gave her a flower. Aww.....

My husband and I told her that she needed to draw a pic of her fellow Anakin fangirls - rhonderoo and TNPredsFan - with him, and Rachel got this totally affronted look on her face before declaring quite emphatically: "No! There would be NO ROOM for Anakin [with them]!"

I promptly called rhonderoo and told her that she'd been cock-blocked by a 6 yr-old. LMAO
